Ceremony is an influential punk band formed in 2005 in Rohnert Park, California. Starting out as a blistering, chaotic force in modern powerviolence and hardcore with landmark releases like Violence Violence (2006) and Rohnert Park (2010), the band gradually evolved into one of underground music's most chameleonic acts. Led by frontman Ross Farrar, they later expanded their sound into jagged post-punk, coldwave, and synth-driven new wave across records like Zoo, The L-Shaped Man, and In the Spirit World Now, while always keeping the raw, cathartic tension of their DIY hardcore roots.
