Bullshit Detector came up through the tight-knit San Antonio punk and hardcore underground, frequently holding down bills at local DIY spots, warehouse spaces, and dive staples (like The Mix, Snake Hill Social Club, and Paper Tiger side rooms), as well as frequently making the run up I-35 to play Austin. They play a raw, ferocious style of hardcore punk heavily steeped in classic anarcho-punk, D-beat, and UK82 influences (taking their name straight from the legendary Crass Records compilation series Bullshit Detector).
